Contact Dermatitis

Contact Dermatitis is where the skin’s barrier function is compromised by an external agent. This could be from a substance that causes an allergy or it could simply be something that repeatedly comes into contact with the skin that irritates it.

Contact dermatitis can affect work and activities of daily life. If contact dermatitis is suspected then patch testing may be necessary to investigate it further.
